I very much appreciate these suggestions, and I think implementation of most of them is both desirable and feasible. However, I find myself too busy with teaching and other research projects to devote enough time to netplot (which started as somewhat of a hobby project anyway). As a solution, I invite others to contribute to the further development of netplot. To keep this process somewhat organized, I created a repository <\/a>for netplot at GitHub. I realize that this may create an additional hurdle (you’ll have to learn a bit of Git), but I think it is the best way to keep the code consistent. As an extra incentive to contribute: serious updates may be reported in the Stata Journal, with contributors as co-authors.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Every once in a while, I receive requests to include new features in netplot, such as options for weighted ties, different layout algorithms, or access to regular twoway graph options.
